Sunflare, the Rooster, fell in love with Robin the Duck.

❤️Love is Love on the Farm: 🐓Sunflare and 🦆Robin’s Unlikely Romance

At 🍃🐻Little Leaf Big Bear Farm**, we’ve witnessed many heartwarming moments, but none quite as endearing as the relationship between Sunflare the Rooster and Robin the Duck. While it may not be a traditional pairing—after all, they can’t crossbreed—love knows no bounds on our farm!

Robin holds a special place in our hearts. She was the only egg to survive from our free-range ducks, and her journey hasn’t been easy. Although she faced difficulties hatching, leaving her with a slight disability, she was raised alongside the last group of hatchlings from last season. Despite her challenges, she has flourished and brings joy to everyone who watches her.

If you sit quietly in the run long enough, you’ll see Robin swim gracefully, showcasing her dance moves. And when she doesn’t spot Sunflare nearby, she calls out for him, prompting our proud rooster to come running. Their bond is truly something special!

Recently, Sunflare had a mouth injury that required him to stay in our nursery area for a week. Robin, ever the devoted companion, figured out where he was and began quacking, while Sunflare paced and crowed in response. Their connection is heartwarming to witness, demonstrating that love transcends species.

To make their relationship even more special, we are currently working on building Robin her own eco-friendly duck sanctuary within the run. Like most construction projects on the farm, this one has its own timeline, but we’re excited to see it come to life.

We’re also thrilled to announce that in April, our farm will be going “LIVE”! You’ll have the chance to follow along from the perspective of our farm animals and catch glimpses of Sunflare and Robin enjoying their time together.

Stay tuned for updates, and join us as we celebrate the love and camaraderie that makes life on our farm so unique!
